Welcome to Marana Health Family Medicine Residency. Choosing a residency is one of the most important decisions in your career, and we are honored you are considering training with us. In Family Medicine, we care for patients in the context of their lives- their stories, challenges, and goals. We take that same approach with our residents. Your growth as a physician should never come at the expense of your well-being.
Our program is intentionally designed to help you thrive. You will train in a Federally Qualified Health Center serving diverse and underserved communities, gaining a broad scope of clinical and procedural experience. Through our integrated, team-based care model- working alongside behavioral health consultants, RN care partners, and interdisciplinary teams- you will learn to deliver truly comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Just as importantly, you will be part of a culture that prioritizes wellness, mentorship, and psychological safety. We are committed to creating an environment where you feel supported, respected, and comfortable being yourself- where you can ask questions, learn openly, and grow with confidence. Our residents graduate not only as skilled clinicians, but as compassionate, resilient physicians prepared for a wide range of career paths.
Outside of training, Tucson offers an exceptional quality of life. With its sunny climate, access to outdoor activities, and vibrant, welcoming community, it’s a place where many of our residents find balance.
If you are looking for a program that will challenge you, support you, and invest in you as a whole person, we would love to meet you.

Your training is further enriched through diverse clinical rotations across the Tucson area. Residents rotate through local practices and community hospitals such as Tucson Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital, where you will gain valuable inpatient and specialty care experience while working alongside multidisciplinary teams. In addition, elective opportunities are widely available to allow you to tailor your training.
